With the threat of rain coming in the form of passing storms throughout the day it was decided the painting would still happen. To have enough room to make a backcast for the entirety of the piece a rock perch was utilized in the river. The Nyla Nock was introduced today to create big round hits to represent large boulders or cover large amounts of space. The weather held out and it was a beautiful day with an incredible caddis hatch coming off the water. The beauty this time of year is in the fact that this location can demonstrate a clear river while run off is seriously taking place around the state. The spey rod was used to demonstrate the power of the river and different size rocks showing the diversity of sizes with the Nyla Nock Fly Brush.
