Taylor River, Colorado

12/11/19
2:30 to 4:45 PM
29 – 20 degrees

36 x 48 inch acrylic on polycarbonate

This is the first Colorado River to be fly-cast painted. Looking into the water, the water held a golden green tinge beneath the dark surface. The progress made today was the highlights of the snow on top of the ice flows coming down the river. The bale cast coupled with the application of a pre-tied tip of thread allowed for some active intricate marks.
